Our Opening Team

Ania Lesniak

Ania was born in small mountain village in Poland, where nature has taught her a way to live in peace and in tune with its cycles. Traveling throughout India and Brazil later introduced her to the spiritual way.
The Ganges and the Himalayas, mountains and the forests, shamans and the elders are the parents of her philosophy. Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga bring discipline and understanding to the alignment and the mechanical movement to the physical body. Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine and the Medicine of the Land in Poland are the schools of taught. Capoeira, a Brazilian Martial art, showed her how to be a warrior and how to grow strength not only in the muscle and bone but the one of the mind.
She brings it all into her teachings as a healer and mentor. Movement, meditation in motion, Yoga therapy, prenatal, postnatal practice, pranayama, Reiki, the elements, sound healing and rituals that heal the boy, mind and soul. Ania provides you an opportunity to become the witness, to dive deep, and sit in the questions, so you can heal.

Liza Leondard

Liza is walking the path of yoga with her whole heart. She is not a perfect practitioner (no one is), but she is deeply called to constantly learn more, going to the source of truth, testing everything for herself, and creating beautiful experiences for herself and others. Liza found yoga over 10 years ago, and has since studied with world-class teachers like Saraswati Jois (daughter of Patabi Jois,) Rose Erin Voughan, and other hidden gems in India. But beyond all that, she believes that we all have to be our own teachers, and ultimately, life itself is our best teacher! Join Liza for classes that bring you to your true self, through breathing, moving, focusing, concentration, fun energy, and also stillness. She also loves to share sound healing, cupping, and kirtan.

Charlotte Allen

Charlotte Allen is a teacher at heart, a forever student of the natural world, a writer, and an avid explorer of her own embodiment. She has been teaching yoga since 2016, and knows from personal experience the healing power of embodiment practices like yoga.
Her teaching is a strong alignment-focused practice that uses pranayama as the glue between the inner and outer experience. She teaches a deep, yet approachable class that strives to close the distance between therapeutic physically and healing spiritually. She incorporates vinyasa, restorative, and pranayama practices into each class.
Over the past six years, she has spent her time exploring coast to coast, learning many different lineages of yoga, various healing modalities, holding women’s circles, and ultimately getting more in touch with her own connection to Mother Earth. As a CT Native, she has returned to her roots and now lives in Woodbridge, CT with her husband, Roger. In her time off the mat, she teaches high school students about life, growing into who they are, and sharing their voices with the world, also known as English class.

Alyssa Romano

Alyssa has been teaching yoga for over a decade and was formally trained at Saraswati’s Yoga Joint in Norwalk, CT.
Alyssa finds that the center of her yoga practice is about building a deeper connection to oneself. She believes that yoga brings up what you are hiding and also turns you to look in the eyes of all the beauty you hold.  The movement of yoga helps you to stay strong in the looking. Allows you to hold the space to see deeper.
She is very much inspired by poetry, namely Mary Oliver, nature and her closest personal relationships, particularly her son and husband.
Her classes focus mostly on connecting to one’s own heart, using a mix of poetry, music, and alignment rich instruction. She balances the ethereal power of the heart with the earthly grounding of the body. Her main focus overall is to allow you to explore and find what feels good in your body. You will leave her class softer, stronger, a hint sweatier, and a little more grateful to be alive.
