8:30PM TantricTantric yoga is a practice that focuses on cleansing of the subtle body, this is but one layer of the many sheaths we are composed of according to yogic philosphy. The energy body is comprised of 72000 individual channels, 7 main nerve centers "chakras", three gates, two opposing forces and the one main citrine nadi. The subtle body is cleansed by a practice called pranayama, a form of breath control retention and expansion. Just as a river is cleared of debris when more water rushes through, our bodies are cleansed of blockages with deeper focused breathing. Asana "yoga poses" are entered slowly and with specific mantra. Each class has a specific focus and intention that relates to the poses and practices done during class. Classes usually are divided between a breathwork portion and asana portion with many of the other limbs of yoga included.
